Civil War Sniper Pistol (The undercover version )

The Smith and Wes repeating arms Co. sniper pistol was a brilliantly engineered well balanced and deadly accurate handgun for its time. Designed for Officers, it was the first pistol to have more than 4 manual safeties to reduce the chances of shooting oneself in the foot . In spite of this it became a favorite arm of many combat soldiers, spies, sailors and balloon Pilots . Carried by many women under their huge hooped skirts in black laced holsters attached to matching garter belts and a colorful array of stockings where quite the fad. (Also manufactured by Smith and Wes ) Popular with naval personnel and Civil War frogmen due to its waterproof design ( 70 meter tested depth ) and powerful ship sinking ammunition. The round butt and non-snagging hammer with its longer barrel and adjustable target sights made it a “must-have” in concealed carry world.

This pistol even tho in service for over 30 years was Top secret and unknown to most arms experts until now. Fearing that the enemy would get their hands on one (changing the balance of world power), most were destroyed . This pistol is the only one available to collectors having been found in a sunken Civil War submarine in Arizona and restored by welding.
