Bessie’s Plane or the Float Plane is a little over 6 ft high and I would guess around 8oo pounds. This colorful patina of oxidized and corroded reclaimed medal is a favorite for many reasons. It all started with a old gas tank, which I dragged out of the desert they became the floats and the wings. The base is made from a rare CH-37 Helicopter rotor. The launching rail was from a very old mine found a long time ago by a friend. The cowling is a modified propane tank with a really old wheel hub found by a friend while hunting. The tail section is a WWII small oil drum and a old engine hood found when I was hiking in the desert. There is parts of a reclining chair that friend had disposed of which is the shorten version of the story. It took me years to collect the story and about 2 years to assemble. This Sculpture is for sale at 5000$
