Why would someone work so hard to get to a place in the middle of nowhere? I am asked and how do you spend weeks with out electricity ,running water or other people ? The “truth” is told in this never retouched Illustration taken at my campsite at the Northern rim in New Mexico . The beauty as the sun rises from the East removing the darkness revealing chromatic imagery. With my Paints at the ready, a bird drinks from my soon to be boiling coffee water and my dogs and hiking staff lie in wait for that morning walk. I find the Highest campsite usually overlooking some inspiring overlook with good light a cool breeze. My hikes are filled with good conversation as we search the wilderness for abandon mines, deteriorated vehicles, derelict aircraft and dramatic landscapes.
